Bury Hospice Charity Evening
On the 6th July 2011, we will be hosting a Summer Promotion Evening in aid of Bury Hospice. We have some great prizes to give away, along with goody bags, packed with stuff, for everyone who attends.

About Bury Hospice
Bury Hospice is a registered charity providing end of life and palliative care to people who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting disease, living in the six towns of Bury.
We currently care for around 350 patients and their families every year.
It costs in the region of £1.8 million to run Bury Hospice each and every year.
Less than 20 per cent of this is funded by the NHS and therefore we have to generate more than 80 per cent of our own income every year through fundraising, Hospice shops and the Bury Hospice lottery.
All care is provided entirely free of charge and is offered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
As treatments and needs have changed, Bury Hospice has responded with additional services such as day hospice and out-patient clinics and a ‘Hospice@Home’ service.
So far, it has been possible to deliver these additional services through the reconfiguration and extension of the existing premises.
However, further development and improvements are not physically possible at our Dumers Lane site.
In order to provide additional beds for the people of Bury, we need to build a new Bury Hospice.
